‘Stirred, Not Shaken’

This painting was inspired by William Shakespear’s Quote: 'The robbed that smiles, steals something from the thief’. The painting is a playful look at how one’s attitude to unfavorable situations can often transform the outcome. By remaining unshakable in our sense of hope and joy, we can turn a loss into a win. The title relates to the parrot stealing the subject’s olive from her ‘dirty’ martini, which of course is always stirred, not shaken.
