The Power of Words

Lost in thought as she ponders the feeling of being ‘seen’. The words of the writer having left an indelible impression on her.

And in those words, I realised that I’d been seen. I mean really seen. Perhaps for the very first time. Despite the cool breeze pressing against my skin, a warmth crept in. As though a ray of light had illuminated a dark room, where my heart sat for safe keeping.’ (The Power of Words, RL)

This painting is inspired from a short story about a character who is changed by an anonymous letter she receives in the post. It’s one of four stories of different individuals whose lives are touched by words.
