Outback Rose
The painting is based on a poem I wrote that personifies the Australian Outback as a woman.
‘She’s a place of potential and wonder,
transformation and adaptation.
She will test the resilient
and unleash the extraordinary.
In her scarcity there are lessons
and in her blooms, there is reason.
A contradiction, parched and abandoned,
only to drown you in her season.’
