‘Saoirse’

“Do you ever drive somewhere, just to sit in your car and listen to music?

I guess it’s the feeling of being unwatched, un-judged and un-obligated. I’ve come to realise that in order to care, I need to take some time not to care.

So I’ll stay here a while and let the difficult things fade with the light.”

(a small extract of dialogue from a writing project’)

The painting was completed using a tetradic colour scheme to enhance a sense of balance and atmosphere. The title ‘saoirse’ is an Irish word meaning ‘freedom’.
